I am a graduate of the University of Chicago where I attained a B.A. in Public Policy. During college, I also took all my pre-medical classes and plan to attend medical school in the future. I tutored math, science, Latin, and English throughout high school and the first years of college. I also have experience working with ESL students as I previously volunteered to teach English in a classroom setting for a group of students aged 16-24 during a 5 week volunteer project in India.
My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra. Especially in math and science subjects, my goal is to help students develop study guides and strong study habits that will help them succeed throughout their academic careers. I also enjoy working with students on reading and writing skills because I am an avid reader and writer. Writing is a valuable skill that will take you far in college and even when applying for jobs, internships, and graduate schools. I love to work with students at all levels and students with different learning styles. My goal is to not only help students master the subject, but also to help them identify which study tools work best for them. Outside of academics, I am interested in gardening, playing piano, reading, and running.
