I am a senior undergraduate student at Kent State University majoring in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. I have had experience with helping students in understanding difficult concepts in chemistry and biology as a supplemental instruction leader. I received my Associate of Arts with honors from Florida State College at Jacksonville. In addition to my experience working with other people in college, I worked as a supervisor at an overnight summer camp. I recently moved to Seattle with my husband who is a new professor at the University of Washington. I enjoy teaching and working with students, and up until our recent move to Seattle, I have had the luxury of being surrounded by them while studying or working in various academic environments. I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park. As a Banneker Key scholar and member of the honors college, I have been introduced to so many amazing and formative opportunities thus far. I am currently on a pre-med track working towards a B.S. in public health science. I began tutoring my peers in high school and fell in love with it ever since.
