I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors Degree and major in Molecular Biology and Global Studies. For four years I volunteered and worked tutoring elementary, middle school, high school and college students in math, biology and chemistry. In my tutoring sessions, I tailor my method of teaching to each students learning needs. I provide my students the confidence they need to understand the material and develop successful learning skills that will help them in their learning experience and beyond. I left high school and entered into college full-time when I was only 14, and transferred to a UC campus as a junior by the time I was 17. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at UC Merced, and my Masters in Public Administration at Cal State Long Beach. My academic path has been quite unconventional, but it gave me the opportunity familiarize myself with a wide range of subjects. I am currently continuing my education in the medical sector, and volunteer at a local hospital with some of my spare time. I'm very confident in my ability to tutor all subjects, but I am most experienced in tutoring students in math and science. Based on my experience, students tend to learn best when they're taught to understand concepts, rather than being asked to memorize. During my study breaks, I enjoy swimming, bike riding, cooking and, more importantly, eating.

I have always enjoyed tutoring students one-on-one and look forward to continuing this now that I've moved to Atlanta. I prefer to tutor people in-person rather than online because it is a much more efficient use of our time and allows me to get a feel of how you solve/work through the problems. I am medical school graduate, currently taking my USMLE exams. I have always been passionate about science, particularly, physics and chemistry. However, it wasn’t until medical school that I found my love for biology as my true calling .From the overwhelming excitement of understanding how the human body works, to the unparalleled satisfaction of educating and treating patients, I have enjoyed every step of the process. I have experience tutoring High School, Undergraduate and Medical school students. I believe everyone has unique assimilating abilities and studying pattern, and the student should be the one setting the pace and not the tutor. In my teaching I focus on the ‘understanding’ and not just ‘memorization’ of content, so my students successfully use it whenever needed. Having taken many standardized test myself, I know that it takes more than just knowing the content to be successful. I work with you on developing test taking strategies as well as fully understanding the content to maximize the chances of your success.In my free time I enjoy adventure sports, Indian Classical dance and reading a wide variety of books. Some favorites include Harry Potter, The Fountain head and The Alchemist. I also volunteer and enjoy working with people.

We can then work together to come up with an approach that helps the student in the most efficient way. Although I tutor in a broad range of subjects, I enjoy math the most because I like to see students mastering the steps and becoming eager to take on a new problem.I have a bachelors degree in English from the University of Illinois and a math licensure from Eureka College. In the past, I have worked with students on a variety of subjects. Usually we focused on math and science, but we also covered some English classes. Many of the students I have worked with were in high school, but I also worked with some students in junior college. When I am tutoring, I like to give students a chance to discuss what they enjoy about a subject. Once they have explained their strengths, we can focus on areas of need. That way, we are starting out with positives that we can return to, as necessary.Outside of classes, I like to go bicycling, follow most sports, and look for new and interesting sites on the Internet.

I am a recent graduate from Stony Brook University and have received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Over my undergraduate career I have tutored many different students ranging from grades 4-12 as well as several college classes. I have always loved being able to work with a student or colleague to find the right answer of a difficult question. I tutor math (Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra) as well as SAT math, English, and science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Biochemistry). I really enjoy tutoring math and English! Math always has an answer to work towards and can be taught using various mediums. English is also a favorite subject of mine as I love to read and write and love reading the works of others. I like to tutor subjects by working through problems with students and practicing problems. Outside of academics, I enjoy hiking and have almost finished half of the Appalachian trail. I also enjoy archery and shoot olympic recurve style.
