I am a graduate of MIT. I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with minors in Management Science and Ancient and Medieval Studies. Since graduation, I have started my PhD at Georgia Tech in Operations Research. Throughout my career I have TA'd several math and computer science courses at the college level. I have also taught at summer programs for gifted middle school and high school students. I am passionate about tutoring kids in math and science because I think that a strong foundation in STEM at an early age can set the tone for their future. In my spare time I like to engage in athletics, and was a Division 1 rower in college.

I am an astronomer who spends her days coding in Python and conjuring up equations to fit trends I observe in my spectroscopic data. Currently, I study how stellar environment affects the gaseous disks around baby stars that may be forming planets (Yep & White 2020, The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 889, Issue 1, id. 50). Math, physics, and coding are all part of my job solving mysteries of the Universe! Throughout the year (except during global pandemics), I run Georgia State University's telescopes to show everyone the planets, stars, clusters, and galaxies visible from right here on Earth. I am interested in helping students prepare for the LSAT exam. As background, I am a practicing attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Northwestern University, with a degree in English Literature and Political Science, in 2009. I later graduated from Notre Dame Law School, magna cum laude and in the top ten percent of my class, in 2012. With regard to testing, I have previously scored a 1470 on the SAT (720 math, 750 verbal) and a 167 on the LSAT.

I am currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech studying Prosthetics and Orthotics. My career goal is to become a certified prosthetist/orthotist, which means I would make and fit artificial limbs (prostheses) to patients who need them as well as make and fit assistive devices that support existing body parts (orthoses) to treat various conditions.

I am a graduate of Duke University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Cultural Theory. I am currently completing my PhD in English Literature at the University of Virginia. My dissertation focuses on 20th Century U.S. Fiction, but I also have a strong interest in African-American literature, film studies, popular culture, and gender theory. At UVa, I have taught literature courses as well as first-year writing seminars, which have focused on topics including the American Dream, Gender and Sexuality, and Borders and Frontiers. My favorite things about teaching writing are working individually with students to help them brainstorm ideas and articulate their point of view in their clearest, strongest voice, and seeing their work become stronger across each draft they revise. When working with students in my literature classes at UVa and the North Carolina Governor's School, I especially enjoy helping students develop strategies for careful, critical reading. My years of teaching and tutoring have led me to the firm belief that literary analysis and clear writing are not mysterious talents that you either have or you don'tinstead, I believe anyone can become a better interpreter of literature and a better writer with practice and encouragement. I am law student at Georgia State University. I have a B.S. in Management with a Certificate in Marketing from Georgia Tech, where I was in the Co-op Program and the Honors Program. After an 11-year hiatus, I am excited to return to one-on-one tutoring in high school and college-level precalculus, calculus, and physics.
