I have always received my inspirations from helping other. Through teaching, volunteering, and giving. I like to actively continue to do these things. It feels amazing to be able to help others. Since a young age, I have always found myself going out of my way to help those who fell behind in class. From this, I continued onto helping younger family members and then onto college and high school students. Tutoring online is just a new journey for me, in which I look forward to.

I am a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, along with a Reading and ESOL endorsement. Since graduation, I have worked with students in grades K-6 as a teacher, tutor and mentor. I have worked with students from various backgrounds and cultures, and volunteered with Teach For America in their diversity programs. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Reading, Language Arts, and Writing. I have experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, as well as helping to cultivate confidence for students who are facing challenges. In my classroom, I am always open to questions and foster lasting relationships. I was taught that students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. Since graduation, I have worked mostly in Neonatal ICU, Mother-Baby and instructed new and trained new nurses to become nurses of excellence. I am most passionate about tutoring students to excel in nursing school from Med surgical nursing with specific interest in Maternal-Child and Pediatrics. I am leaving the classroom after 14 wonderful years as an elementary school teacher.While pursuing my PHD in Reading Education, I will be working in the Reading Department within the College of Education at the University of Central Florida. I am excited to begin this new chapter in my life, however I will always be passionate about working directly with students.Over the past 14 years, I have taught every grade ranging from first through fifth. I have enjoyed seeing students use critical thinking and problem solving to create unique perspectives to challenges that face our society.
