I am able to develop an efficient, structured tutoring plan that is pleasant, reinforcing, and rewarding for the respective student.

I am graduated from Penn State University in Industrial Engineering in 2017. I've tutored ever since I was in high school, and I love helping people! I like to help my students understand math (and other topics) instead of just doing it blindly. My goal is to help my students improve their math (and other topics) and build skills that will help them find learning easier in the future! Fun fact, I used to work for Disney and I like to salsa dance!
I am a current university student with a passion for academics that I would love to share with students!
I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Psychology and am currently pursuing a Master's degree at the University of South Florida in Educational Measurement and Research. I have tutored in one form or another intermittently since high school, from private tutoring in Chemistry, Algebra, Statistics, and SAT prep to T.A. responsibilities and instructor training for undergraduate statistics as part of my graduate studies.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am also a graduate of the high school International Baccalaureate Program. I have informal experience tutoring high school physics, but am most passionate about tutoring students for the ACT standardized test, having had extensive experience preparing for standardized tests throughout high school. I am eager to aid students in boosting their scores before their upcoming college applications, an important milestone in many students' lives. In my free time, I also enjoy playing tennis.
I received my BA in mathematics and economics from Vanderbilt University. Upon graduating, I was employed as a high school math teacher for four years in the states of Tennessee and Florida, while also tutoring in STEM and test prep for a Nashville-based company. I love getting to see students grow in confidence in mathematics, and create relevant scenarios that get them excited about tackling challenges. I believe education is the most important tool that a person can have, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Economics at UNC Chapel Hill. When not studying furiously myself, I enjoy spending time outside, playing sports, and reading good books.
I am an attorney in the Orlando area and twice-graduate of the University of Florida. I obtained my BA in English with a concentration in critical writing and film, and continued on to law school to obtain my JD. Before college I completed the rigorous International Baccalaureate program with a higher level concentration in Psychology and completed my Extended Essay in English.
I am a UCF graduate Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA! I graduated with a degree in Health Sciences Pre-Clinical. I am currently in the middle of applying to medical school. I am here to help and have previous tutor experience! I was a Supplemental Instruction leader at UCF, where I instructed students on General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. Although I primarily have tutored at the collegiate level, I feel comfortable teaching at both undergraduate and primary school levels. I feel more comfortable in STEM courses but can tutor English and ACT Reading as well.
I'm currently a second-degree seeking student at UCF for accounting. I can tutor in algebra and teach beginning violin/viola/piano. I wish to help kids who may be struggling in math, and help them see that it can be a very fun subject. I'm also very passionate about music, I've been playing the violin since I was 5, and I wish to pass on the excitement of playing an instrument to other kids. Music is something I've grown up with and continue to appreciate having in my life, and I hope that I can influence someone else to have that in their life as well.
I'm in my 2nd year of medical school at the University of Central Florida. I previously graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and Education Studies. I was an Academic Mentor for underprivileged San Diego communities. I was also a Teaching Assistant for the Biology department at UCSD. I have taught in a variety of settings; from one-on-one tutoring to review sessions for 300 people in a lecture hall. I primarily tutor MCAT, SAT, and the SAT.
I am a current Game Design Major at the University of Central Florida, with a minor in Creative Writing and certificate in German language. I was very involved in my high school's honor societies and band program, and through these have taught many students, be it in music or academics. I have also worked as a Graphic Designer, both for volunteer work as well as paid gigs, and have proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator. Likewise, I have studied writing since high school and was the Editor-in-Chief for Valencia College's Phoenix Magazine, in which I wrote, edited, and revised work. I have often used the above opportunities to mentor people before, and find it exciting to pass on whatever tips and tricks I've learned along the way, as well as bond with others in a shared subject.
I am elated to be able to still lend my expertise, in a remote fashion. My passion is servant and helping others reach their goal of becoming a nurse. I have over 27 years of nursing and healthcare experience. I currently hold as ADN, from Valencia College, a BSN from Mountain State University, and an MSN in Nursing Administration from Kaplan University/Purdue Global. I specialize in Nursing Education/Health care specialties and certifications.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Varsity Tutors connects students throughout Orlando and across all three school districts in the area—Orange County Public Schools, Osceola County Schools, and Seminole County Public Schools. With over 315 schools serving more than 156,000 students in the region, we work with learners at every grade level and school type, whether they attend traditional public schools, charter schools, or are homeschooled.
Tutors in Orlando are familiar with Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards and help students master the specific benchmarks their schools use for assessment and progression. Whether your student needs support with reading and math fundamentals, science concepts, or preparing for FSA and EOC exams, personalized 1-on-1 instruction targets the exact skills and standards their school emphasizes.
With an average student-teacher ratio of 16.9:1 across Orlando schools, many students don't get the individualized attention they need to close learning gaps or accelerate. Personalized tutoring fills that gap by providing one-on-one instruction tailored to your student's pace, learning style, and specific challenges—something that's difficult for classroom teachers to provide in larger class settings.
Your first session is an opportunity for the tutor and student to get to know each other and identify learning goals. The tutor will assess your student's current level, understand what they're working on in school, and discuss any specific challenges—whether that's struggling with Florida standards, preparing for a test, or building confidence in a subject. This foundation helps create a personalized plan for future sessions.
Orlando students seek tutoring across a wide range of subjects, with math and reading being among the most common, particularly as students work to meet Florida's literacy and numeracy benchmarks. We also support students with science, social studies, writing, test prep (SAT, ACT, FSA, EOC), and advanced subjects like AP courses and foreign languages. Whatever your student's academic needs, Varsity Tutors can connect you with an expert tutor.
We consider your student's specific needs, learning style, grade level, and subjects when making a match. Whether you're looking for someone with expertise in Florida standards, experience with your student's school, or specialized knowledge in a particular subject, Varsity Tutors works to connect you with a tutor who's a good fit. If the match isn't working, we can help you find someone better suited to your student's needs.
Yes—tutoring sessions are fully flexible and scheduled around your family's availability. Whether your student needs help after school, on weekends, or during school breaks, you work with your tutor to find times that work best. This flexibility makes it easier to support your student's learning without adding stress to your family's routine.
Tutoring costs vary based on the subject, tutor expertise, and frequency of sessions. We recommend discussing your budget and goals when connecting with a tutor—many families find that consistent, personalized instruction leads to measurable improvements in grades, test scores, and confidence, making it a worthwhile investment in your student's academic future.
