Hello! My name is Thomas, and I am a first-year medical student attending Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. I am originally from the Chicago suburbs and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Biomolecular Science. During 2020-2021, I remained in Ann Arbor for a year, working as a research technician to gain experience and strengthen my future application. For 2021-2022, I returned home to Chicago and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for a year before beginning medical school in July 2022.I have been passionate about tutoring since high school, where I helped classmates and grade school students all four years. In college, I continued to tutor grade school and high school students via Skype, so I am very comfortable with both in-person and virtual tutoring. My strongest subjects in school have always been math and the sciences, which I have been tutoring for over eight years now. Outside the classroom, I love to stay active, whether playing sports or running with my dog. On the weekends, you can catch me watching my beloved Chicago Bears and Michigan Wolverines on the gridiron.

I am a graduate of Northeastern University located in Boston, Massachusetts. I received my Bachelor of Science Biochemistry with a focus on pre-medical studies. I had the chance to work as a Teacher's Assistant (TA) for my entire senior year. I had the opportunity to run five lab sections of General Biology 1 at Northeastern University. I was given a lot of responsibility as I was the only instructor in the room during the labs and in charge of teaching the experiments to 30 students at a time, providing a brief lesson related to the experiment, demonstrating, and guiding the students through the experiments, grading all lab reports, creating and grading all pre- and post-lab quizzes, and holding office hours to tutor students who were struggling. This role single-handedly sparked my passion for teaching and tutoring! After graduating, I worked as a clinical research assistant in the Integrative Rheumatology and Orthopedic Center at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. After working in this role for two years after graduation, I entered medical school at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, an MD program in Camden, New Jersey.Since beginning medical school, I have become extensively involved in teaching and mentorship programs for the local youth of the underserved Camden area. I also currently work as a self-employed tutor, and I currently work with additional private clients of all ages. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Human Biology, Genetics, Anatomy, and Physiology.I believe in making every experience a learning experience, and my passion is to give my students the confidence and skills to tackle difficult material. I have a holistic approach, using multiple methods of teaching, including visual aids, mnemonics, memory hooks, videos, practice questions, and even having the student repeat back to me the material he or she has just learned. As a future physician, I try to focus on the real-life relevance of all the material we learn, and always bring the textbook material to situations outside the classroom. As someone who is a non-traditional learner, I exercise patience, understanding, flexibility to accommodate each student's individual learning style. As a wellness and mental-health advocate, try to understand the student's headspace, as I understand how stressful and high-pressure school can be. During my sessions, I will always make time for teaching mindfulness exercises and test-taking anxiety mitigation tips to help my students succeed in all realms of education! In my spare time, I enjoy, pilates, running, field hockey, and traveling the world!

I am a doctor and I graduated from med school in 2016 and then took my USMLE exams .I have cleared all my USMLE exams and hoping to apply for residency this year. I love to teach and I always used to teach my fellows on medical subjects and they really liked the way I taught ,because I teach in a way that makes sense to students and I don't leave them until I'm successful in conveying what I intended to convey. Ask me as many questions as you want and I'll answer. Looking forward to teach you soon.

I am a 2015 graduate of Drexel University where I obtained a master of science in neuroscience, but I previously obtained a bachelor of arts in biology, minor in chemistry, at Arcadia University in 2011. I am an experienced tutor in the life sciences with 3 years of undergraduate biology and chemistry tutoring and 2 years of graduate biochemistry and neuroscience tutoring. I generally focus my tutoring on biology, particularly biochemistry, but I enjoy tutoring cellular biology as well. When working with students, I prefer to keep an encouraging and upbeat atmosphere, working alongside students to identify issues in learning and developing a plan to address these problems as a team. Having been a biology student, I understand that it is a challenging subject for many, and I love to not only share my passion but also share encouragement based on personal experience. In addition to my interests in biology and neuroscience, I have a wide range of hobbies including writing (both scientific and fiction), art and drawing, piano, video games, and martial arts.

I am very excited to take on new clients interested in tutoring in a wide range of subjects. Most recently, I worked as a 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. I graduated from Temple University in May of 2015, where I earned Bachelor's degrees in education and history. I have had the chance to participate in a number of community service organizations, including ProjectEDU and Temple's Pan-African Studies Community Education Program providing individualized instruction as well as classes for adult learners. This, along with my four years as a GED tutor, has allowed me to gain valuable experience in community-based education.I hold certificates from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Social Studies (Grades 7-12) and English (Grades 7-12). I am able to tutor in any area of the SAT or ACT test. I am also able to assist with AP test preparations in English and Social Studies areas, and received a score of 5 on the AP European History, U.S. History, and Language and Composition tests.I have a passion for teaching and value the process of learning above all else. I hope that I can be of assistance in your educational goals.

I am a writer, educator, and social worker who has been actively tutoring for the past 4 years. I began tutoring at Penn State's writing center, where I worked with undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study to address their concerns about their personal essays and research papers to cover letters and thesis papers. Additionally, during my years at Penn State, I was fortunate enough to become an Editor of Penn State's Undergraduate Literary Magazine, Kalliope. At UPenn, I worked in a non-profit organization called Achieve-Ability, where I tutored adults and children on college essays and personal statements. In collaboration with my students, I created individual academic plans to help them reach their goals and helped them come up with study skills which suits their learning style. I am very adaptable to students needs and work with a student-center framework and will go where they need assistance the most, and work from there. I am a published writer and some of my work can be seen in Poetry Quarterly, The Houston Literary Review, Lucid Rhythms and Mad Swirl. I have also freelanced for The Centre Daily Times, State College's independent newspaper: Voices, Demand Media Studios and currently I freelance for oDesk.
