I am a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where I studied Theatre and Religious Studies. I am originally from Connecticut, and moved to New York last month to pursue a career in the arts. I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to work as a tutor in my free time.

I am multi-media artist and educator working at intersections of audio documentary, performance, and media literacy. I have worked with middle and high school students in a variety of settings and contexts, teaching visual and performing arts, journalism, politics, and art history in classrooms, museums and other non-profit organizations, and in community-based mentorships in New York, Chicago, and Vienna. Through these experiences, I have developed a diverse skill set to address challenges to individual learning and growth.

Math has been my passion ever since high school - from earning 1st place nationally in Calculus and Linear Algebra, to competing on the AMC 10, AMC 12, and AIME exams. At Princeton, I tutored peers in Multivariable Calculus, and since then I've worked with middle school through college students in Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, and SAT/GRE quantitative prep. I'm dedicated to simplifying complex ideas and helping students build confidence in their own problem-solving skills! I also built my first artificial intelligence tool in 2018, and currently enjoy helping integrate LLMs and Agents for companies!

I am a sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, majoring in music and computational biology. I have always had a passion for teaching, and have experience tutoring students in a wide range of grade levels and subjects throughout my years in middle school, high school, and my freshman year at MIT through the Academic Teaching Initiative. I hope to help, and have had past success in helping, students succeed at whatever their goals may be; improved grades, improved standardized test scores, even college admissions. I hope to not only aid students in reaching checkpoints, but also to give them the personal interest in their material and the curiosity to help them move forward and continue to succeed in the future. The majority of my experience lies in tutoring middle school and high school math, middle school science, and biology, but I am also qualified to tutor high school science, a large number of AP exams, the PSAT, and the ACT. Given my current status as an undergraduate student, I am also uniquely able to offer mentoring and advice to any student interested in student life in college and college admissions. More than anything, I strive to be an approachable and reliable tutor whom my students feel that they can be comfortable with, because it is when a student is aware that their teacher is on their side that they feel comfortable thinking and asking questions in the ways that will help them grow. In my free time, I study music and vocal pedagogy, practice makeup artistry, and watch films.

I truly enjoy learning so much that Ive studied various subjects at over 10 additional colleges across the United States and Europe, starting in high school! Im also a student of life, attending special seminars (like Landmark and Tony Robbins) whenever I get the chance. Over the past 15 years, Ive had the pleasure of teaching in many different settings. Ive been a museum educator, a classroom teacher (teaching either math, science, English or art), an education program manager, a leadership trainer (teaching a leadership curriculum through the arts), a yoga instructor, and a tutor. Because Im so passionate about learning, its a pleasure for me to inspire my students to discover their own passions and reach their goals. In my spare time, I enjoy world traveling, reading, yoga, stand-up paddle boarding, swimming, making art and exploring South Florida. I am an astronomer who spends her days coding in Python and conjuring up equations to fit trends I observe in my spectroscopic data. Currently, I study how stellar environment affects the gaseous disks around baby stars that may be forming planets (Yep & White 2020, The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 889, Issue 1, id. 50). Math, physics, and coding are all part of my job solving mysteries of the Universe! Throughout the year (except during global pandemics), I run Georgia State University's telescopes to show everyone the planets, stars, clusters, and galaxies visible from right here on Earth. I have provided homework help in Math, English, Science, History, and Computer Science to students in grades K-12. I am a current Sophomore at Brown University, studying History for my Bachelor of Arts degree. Previously, I have tutored at my local synagogue in the Hebrew language and Jewish history, as well as with private clients in Elementary Language Arts and Math. While I enjoy teaching all subjects in the humanities, my favorite subjects are History, Essay Writing, and English. I love helping students find their passion, explore it, and overcome academic obstacles so they can find their favorite subjects enjoyable and stress-free rather than daunting. Additionally, I love helping students prepare for Standardized Tests, especially in critical reading and grammar, for these stressful events can decide so much in a student???s life and as their test scores rise so does their confidence.
