After I graduated with my Masters degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2014, I moved to New Mexico to pursue a career in environmental conservation. I currently work as a supervisor for an AmeriCorps program that provides opportunities for young adults to gain skills working in the field of conservation while also receiving training for personal and professional development. I aspire to become a ranger with the National Park Service and a freelance writer.

I am a graduate from Mercer University. I have obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. I have gained tutoring experience from my time working at Mathnasium as a Math Instructor. There, I have taught many student from grade 2 through grade 12, strengthening their competency in Mathematics. I have also tutored many of my classmates in higher-leveled mathematics. Through many of the subject that I have taught, I really enjoy tutoring in Calculus. I enjoy helping student build a better understanding in mathematics because I believe that it is a necessity to have and can help improve the way we think in life. When I am not tutoring in mathematics, I like to hang out with friends, practice the piano and saxophone, solve puzzles, listen to music, and play video games!

I earned my degree at Brigham Young University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History. While I love history, I am also passionate about math, reading, and writing. I have had the opportunity to work with a number of age groups--from kindergarten to high school--tutoring math, reading, and writing. I believe that education is one of the most important gifts we can give to the children in our lives. It is important to me to help children gain a love of learning.

I have learned a lot of things throughout my academic career, but without a doubt the most important thing I have learned is the value of hard work, and how each of us can unlock an incredible number of opportunities and achievements with the right amount of dedication and discipline. It was this mindset that helped me succeed in High School and graduate as a valedictorian which, in turn, helped me get a scholarship to attend Loyola University New Orleans. While I was there I applied myself in equal measure and was able to graduate Cum Laude with a Major in Latin American Studies and a Minor in Music. I also had the opportunity to pursue a bit of adventure during college, spending a full six months living in Latin America as a public health intern in Honduras and an exchange student in Mexico. All of these experiences have shaped who I am today and I am eternally grateful not only for the opportunities that I have had, but most of all for the work ethic that provided them to me. I hope to help all of my students not only progress in their academic work, but also in their development of organizational skills and work habits that will enable them to succeed in every environment they may encounter.
