During my undergraduate studies, I spent a year abroad in Peru, which cemented my love and understanding of the Spanish language as well as Latin American history and culture. I really love to travel and explore new places, which prompted my recent move to Denver. I am also passionate about learning and I enjoy inspiring that passion in others. Now I'm majoring in Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech and focusing more on sciences and math. I have a large range of experience in multiple subjects, including test preparation, science, and math- as well as ballet.

I focused heavily on: assisting students in revisions (punctuation/grammar), understanding writing assignments, helping students understand how to take their papers to the next level, and so on. While in high school, I also tutored elementary and middle school students with their reading and writing through an organization called LINK (a high school freshman mentor program that also provided the chance to tutor students of younger ages. Though, to tutor younger ages, it required a selection). Majoring in psychology has allowed me to dive deeper into how the brain works, and this aids me in the way I tutor. Every individual has a unique learning style, of which the broadest categories are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Discovering what style works best for a student while also tapping into the background knowledge a student already has altered the way I tutor (students may also enjoy multiple learning styles). With this combination, I build on the student's knowledge in a manner they will understand. Through tutoring, I realize that the best feeling is when something has finally clicked for a student after they have been struggling with something for quite a while!
