I recently graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Neuroscience, and I'm hoping to eventually become a doctor. As a self-described science nerd, I'm fascinated by the intricacies of how the world around us works, and I think that is infectious to my students. One of my favorite subjects to tutor is Biology because it explains how we ourselves function. My enthusiasm has helped me make science and math engaging and accessible to the students I work with. I have an approach that is centered around finding the root cause of a students struggles, be it misunderstanding of content, time management, or any other reason, and offering multiple specifically-tailored methods for the student to employ before settling on what works best for them. I am currently a 4 th year medical student at University of Illinois with amore relaxed schedule until June of 2023. I have also been a high school principal, and most recently, my full-time job has been to coach high school principals around the country. My diverse experiences have given me insight into a wide range of content areas and age groups, from kids to adult learners. I am an avid test-taker and find test prep to be fascinating and - yes - fun! I've taken the LSAT and GRE; my scores were good enough to get into some pretty great schools, along with some scholarship money. I believe everyone is capable of achieving their academic goals! In my free time, I love to rock climb, and I sing with a choir. I'm also a big travel buff.
