I am so excited to work with you or your student. I am a Stanford University graduate, where I majored in American Studies and minored in Creative Writing. I have worked in politics, education, and the medical field, and now I have my own business. I truly believe life is a never-ending journey of learning, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with my clients.

I'm an engineer with tutoring experience ready to help students of all ages in a variety of math subjects, as well as with standardized testing needs. Being an engineer means that I'm a problem-solver, and that I need to be able to adapt to a variety of situations. I apply that skill to my tutoring: every student is different, and I adapt my teaching methods to those differences.
I am an undergrad student at Agnes Scott college, currently pursuing bachelors in neuroscience and biomedical engineering. I grew up in a STEM focused household, and though I've always been inclined in those fields I've also always loved making art in whatever way I can.
I am a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. I earned my Bachelors degree in Letters with a focus on the Classics, and am in the midst of applying for graduate programs in the field of Comparative Mythology. While attending university, I was continually leading study groups and providing writing and editing help for my peers. My education before college was rather unorthodox, in that I was homeschooled by my mother, who brought in students who needed more individual attention than was being provided for them in public or even private school. Having been educated in such an atmosphere through grade 12 has blessed me both with the experience of having watched quality tutoring occur every day and of tutoring others from a very young age. I have always found immense joy in tutoring. Helping others learn is a wildly rewarding pursuit. I believe that tutoring is essential because every individual learns differently - every brain moves in intricate and astounding ways - and trying to educate every student in the same manner can end in frustration and disappointment. My favorite subjects to tutor are Writing, Essay Editing, Reading Comprehension, and English, because I find these are the subjects which are easiest for me to connect with emotionally, and thereby elicit a response from a student and get them more interested and involved.
I am very active. I love working out and playing sports. Throughout high school, I played basketball, ran cross country, and rode horses. Now, I lift weights and do personal research in nutrition and athletics. I hope to one day combine my love of medicine and overall health in order to help my patients one day.
I am the only person who has earned a doctoral degree in the Bassoon. When I began teaching in schools, my first job was teaching Elementary Music and Gifted and Talented classes. I then taught fifth grade Social Studies and moved on to high school Biology and middle school Science. I have also been a professor of music at Oklahoma City University for over ten years. I'm certified to teach Math, Science, and Music, but I also have a passion for History, World Cultures, Study Skills, and Writing. I have been teaching private bassoon and oboe lessons for 20 years and feel very blessed to be both a professional performer and educator. My goal as a teacher is to empower my students to become lifelong learners and lovers of knowledge. I love to travel, and have been to all of the lower 48 states, as well as many different countries. I love sports, jogging, horseback riding, and cooking. I find it especially enjoyable to bring my adventures back to my students and encourage them to go make their own throughout their lives!
I am very passionate about translating the knowledge gained in various STEM subjects into enthusiasm by others for learning through facilitated techniques.
I am not working with students, you could find me: in the kitchen, cooking foods from around the world (with names I can hardly pronounce); in front of the computer, playing video games and listening to music; or outside, hiking/gardening/swimming/reading on a hammock (weather permitting!) I love learning new languages and studying new subjects.
I am a native Oklahoman, holds a Master of Professional Writing and a Master of Library and Information Studies, both from the University of Oklahoma. I have worked as a blogger, ghostwriter, freelance journalist, and technical writer.
I am a recent graduate with a master's in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment (MSc MMIT) from the University of Groningen and a master's in Medical Science from Uppsala University, earned through the Erasmus+ International Double Master in Innovative Medicine (IMIM) program. My academic journey began at Oklahoma State University, where I completed a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with minors in Spanish and Microbiology. I have been tutoring since 2016, offering personalized, one-on-one sessions in subjects including algebra, geometry, ACT preparation, Spanish, and biology. My approach centers on creating a positive and supportive learning environment, helping students build confidence and a strong self-concept in their academic abilities. My background in scientific research, including studies in neuroscience and oncology, informs my teaching, bringing real-world applications into our sessions. I am passionate about education and committed to empowering my students to achieve their academic goals.
I am not studying or reading for personal enjoyment, I am often either writing or sharing rich conversation. Having specialized in philosophy of art, I have a passion for music and visual art and am enlivened by the artistic culture of Oklahoma City.
I am currently a senior at the University of Oklahoma. I am working to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education and a minor in Native American Studies. I tutor history and social studies for middle and high school students. This includes middle school social studies, high school history, and AP United States History. I have always been passionate about history and helping students learn about and understand the context of the world we live in. I have always placed a high value on education and believe that every student should have an opportunity for success, both inside and out of an educational setting. In my free time, I like to read, listen to music (especially country and show tunes), sing, and, depending on the season, watch football, hockey, or bull riding.
