I am a graduate of the University of South Florida Sasarota-Manatee. I received my Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Since graduation, I opened my own business in retail and I am trying to find a job as an accountant. My final goal is to be a CPA. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Mathematics. I always loved tutoring and it is a passion I discovered since my first grade. I took the time to help everyone who needed help. When I started college I started working as a tutor and the best feeling in the world was to see how I could get through to other students and help them. Also, I have tutored students in private and help them prepare for SAT and ACT. I know how stressful it is to prepare for Standardized Tests but I believe with hard work anything is possible. I am a firm believer in education, as an important step in the ladder of career and life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and dancing.

I am deeply interested in ethics, and part of my value system is a strong belief in the transformative power of knowledge and wisdom. I aim to one day become a professor of philosophy (particularly ethics), and I am currently in the process of preparing for a joint JD/PhD in Philosophy. Consequently, I am interested in both theoretical and applied ethics. One of my core talents is the ability to convey concepts in multiple ways, and I like to think of studying philosophy as learning how to say complicated things with simple words.

I am a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Minor in Business Management. I have owned and operated my own business for over 25 years. I am enthusiastic about educating and sharing my knowledge of real estate. I have been a Texas Licensed Real Estate Broker for over 15 years. I work at Keller Williams, The Metropolitan Office in Houston. Our office is a great learning and coaching environment. I have taught many of the newly licensed agents compliance, as well as through the Ignite coaching course. Outside of my professional experience and work in real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my two sons through activities in Boy Scouts.

Hi, my name is Asia Bernard and I am an undergraduate at Texas A&M University. I have an AS in Accounting and an AA Liberal Arts. I also have a business information management certificate. I have been tutoring since the 7th grade. I have experience with age groups up to high school. I am dedicated to making sure you are confident in your studies. I enjoy knowing that I have helped someone at the end of the day.

I believe mathematics is beautiful and enjoyable and with practice and the right kind of instruction, everyone can significantly improve their math skills. This is the enthusiasm with which I approach each of my lessons.I graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Georgia College and a Masters in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University. I have 6 years of tutoring experience from being a tutor in College Algebra, a laboratory assistant for Physics and a teaching assistant for Pre-Calculus. These roles called for different levels of tutoring from lesson planning to grading. While I was a student, I worked for 2 years as an in-home tutor for kids grades 6-12 and focused on study skills, organization and assistance with homework in math, English and Spanish and SAT preparation. During the fall of 2014 I worked with the TCU Athletics Department where I help the TCU Student-Athletes with Calculus and Economics. I enjoy tutoring both Math and English/writing because I am an analytical thinker and like to encourage students to challenge themselves and reach new goals. I was a Dean's List student for 6 semesters and have been awarded the Priscilla Tate research prize for Women and Gender studies at TCU as well as 2015 Texas A&M Outstanding Undergraduate Research prize for the Project for Equity.Outside of work, I enjoy watching college football, being active outdoors and spending time with my friends. My experience as a tutor has helped me learn how to cater to different learning styles and has taught me how to approach issues from different angles. I've tutored students of all ages in the principles of composition, rhetoric, and a number of humanities and social science disciplines.On a personal note, I am an avid but terrible runner and a would-be movie buff.

I know what my passion is: I love teaching. I connect to them, no matter the age and I am fulfilled by the desire to learn that is within them. I want students to know I care about them and their entire make up, not just their money or attendance in my course. In my experience, I've spent a lot of time learning their "why" and if students know instructors considered this, they would gain another reason why their experience is invaluable.I hope I can be an asset to this program and those going on this journey with me. I have a background with organizational change and research development, so I can share my experiences with my peers. I have seen the classroom from various ways including being a teacher, a Dyslexia specialist, and an adjunct instructor teaching First Year Learners and English Language Learners. Additionally, I am very keen on adapting while being in new spaces. I work hard and when I am tired, I work harder.
