Learning can happen anywhere, at anytime! I have been working with students and children of all ages for over ten years, in settings anywhere from daycare, to hockey camp, or Spanish Immersion school. I spent the last year teaching fourth grade math in an under-performing public school. In September I will begin working towards my Master's Degree in Theology. As a teacher I aim to determine the specific manner in which a student learns best. Meeting the individual learning needs of each student creates a fun learning environment! I believe that every student has the ability to achieve incredible things and I will guide them to that by maintaining a positive and encouraging environment.I graduated from Trinity College with a double major in Spanish and Religion. I absolutely love tutoring a wide range of subjects including Spanish, Math, English and Religion. In my free time I enjoy being active and playing sports, especially hockey, soccer and softball. I also love to run, roller-blade, and read.

I started my mortgage journey as an assistant in 2015 and in 2018, I took the leap and became a Mortgage Loan Officer. When I began my transition into mortgage lending I was told there was this "difficult" license that you needed to obtain prior to actually becoming a lender. Once I took the leap I studied, and studied and yes studied, to make sure I passed the test. (By the way only about 25% pass it the first time). I attribute this to not only learning and understanding the material, but knowing the right way to study. We all learn differently and it's my job to personalize and customize that to a student! I have taught classes for various people and age groups. There is nothing more exciting than seeing a student pass their class and become licensed and watch them grow and learn.

For those interested in my academicside, I graduated from Southern Methodist University with Bachelors Degrees in Biological Science and Health & Society. I also have an Associates Degree in General Sciences. I previously tutored in my college's Math Lab where I experienced tutoring students both in 1 on 1 and in group settings. I tutor math because I am passionate about the subject. My approach to tutoring is to facilitatelearning by doing. I determine what each student needs to succeed by working through problems and scenariostogether.For my police side, I graduated valedictorianat the police academy and scored the highestin my class on the certification exam. I'm currently a second year medical student at New York Medical College. I spent the last 4 years doing synthetic biology research at NASA Ames Research Center out in California. I graduated from Stanford University with both a bachelors and masters degrees in biology.

I have graduated from the Leffell School in Hartsdale, NY and I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree at Babson College in Massachusetts. Within my degree, I plan to concentrate in entrepreneurship and I am very passionate about business. I have been passionate about helping students since I worked with Reading Partners in Washington D.C. I have always loved math, but as I got older it got more difficult and discouraged me. I wish that I had reached out for help and I am excited to do this for other students. I am currently tutoring in algebra and SAT prep. My teaching style varies depending on the student, what matters to me is how they learn best. I will do everything I can to accommodate each student in this and I am very excited to work with them.

My goal as an educator is to promote a positive appreciation for education, especially the subject of mathematics.For the past ten years I have, in varying capacities, been involved with teaching or tutoring mathematics at the middle school to post-secondary levels. My goal for my students is for them to question why they are studying what they are so they can foster a deeper understanding of the material. To aid in this, I draw from my extensive knowledge of the subject of mathematics and expand upon what they are studying. This allows me to call on different approaches and methods to solve problems, and I believe allow my students to more completely grasp the concepts.

I recently graduated with a double major in Economics and Government from Bowdoin College. I look forward to tutoring high school math, science, and reading, as well as specific ACT and SAT prep! I have always loved working with people, especially students. I have done a wide variety of activities related to teaching: I led a Special Olympics Organization at my school, taught swimming lessons to all ages, coached a swim team, coached other sports, and have tutored younger students. I really enjoyed standardized tests when I was in high school and have a lot of practice helping others with them. I am excited to figure out how to help more students meet their goals!

I believe all humans are born with certain natural talents and callings in their lives. Once operating and using those callings and talents respectively, they can achieve breakthroughs and shape the future of mankind. One of my natural born talents and callings is teaching. I am very patient, passionate and relentless. I will believe in you and your success more than you do or until you do as well.

I have a passion for helping students succeed in life. This passion led to me volunteering my time as a tutor during my undergraduate studies. I helped local high school students prepare for the Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) by providing them with study methods and offering assistance in math, science, and language arts. My students had a 100% pass rate for the GHSGT and were able to graduate from high school. I also helped students prepare for the ACT and SAT.My assistance is not limited to upper level students. I participated in a program called project FOCUS (Fostering Our Children's Understanding in Science); through this program I taught students in grades K-5 science. I developed lesson plans and projects that helped the students gain interest in science, as well as learn and understand science. I have also tutored students in math, reading, and language arts.When tutoring students, my goal is to understand the level the students are currently at, and how best to help them advance to higher levels. My lesson plans usually consist of worksheets and projects that focus on the area that is challenging for the students. I also sometimes allow the students to work independently in order to gauge their progress. I feel that this method provides confidence in their ability to complete the assignment.I will be as flexible as possible. I also welcome feedback and constructive criticism as I am always willing to improve my skills. I look forward to hearing from you and helping with your studies.
