My name is Shane Gottberg and I am a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a double major in Political Science and Economics. I am a four year starter on the Lacrosse team, and will be continuing my education and lacrosse career at the University of Nottingham in the U.K. I would not have had these opportunities without the scholarship money I received in part due to my test scores, and am excited for the opportunity to help others do the same

I recently completed my Masters degree in Neuroscience at Trinity College, Dublin. Prior to pursuing my Masters I received a B.A. in Psychology from Emmanuel College, Boston. I plan on starting my PhD next year, and would ultimately like to become a professor. I want to teach because I have always enjoyed learning and helping other people to do the same.

I have voluntarily taken a leave of absence from my current position to spend some time with my family and friends in my hometown, Austin. I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with minors in bioengineering, chemistry and math. I find enjoyment in the mentor/mentee relationship and I would love to be a part of your tutoring experience.

I have my BA in History from Salve Regina University, and my Master's in Education from Lesley University. I have been teaching and tutoring for the past four years in the greater Boston area. I am a certified teacher for history grades 8-12 and have teaching experience in both middle schools and high schools. I have tutored all ages and love working with many subjects such as History, ELA, Writing and developing Math skills with younger students! I have worked with many students on IEPs and love to help them strengthen their organization and focus. I believe that my teaching style adapts to ensure that each student can reach their full potential. By understanding where students have weaknesses, we can improve in these areas so that their grades improve and that they feel more confident. Outside of tutoring, I love to spend time with my family, friends and my dog.

Writing is my passion, and my goal, when working with students, is to help them to gain the skills necessary to take their writing to the next level. My approach is positive and process-based, emphasizing student strengths while working toward the development of writerly voice and instinct.I have worked with students ranging from ages 13 to 60s, from a wide range of religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.My professional background is in publishing, and I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and Professional Writing from William Paterson University, where I pursued, and continue to pursue, research in online and digital pedagogy.

I am someone who has always loved teaching children and helping them to feel good about understanding different concepts. I graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelors Degree in Government. I am also EEC teacher and director certified! I currently teach ESL to students in China. My areas of expertise include ESL as well as elementary subjects including English, writing and spelling!

As a long-time educator, I am a staunch believer that everyone has the potential to learn. Through research-based strategies, clear objectives, and a willingness to be creative, anyone can reach their full potential.

I graduated in June 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Microbiology, and I took my MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) in September 2014. After completing my MCAT I decided that I wanted to take off a couple of years to gain non-academic experience and make sure that medical school is what I want. When I am not tutoring students I participate in a couple of non-profit programs where I tutor homeless kids and under-served families for free. In addition I also work as a research associate in cancer immunology at City of Hope Medical Center. When I am not working I enjoy listening to music, playing musical instruments (I play several), and reading. In the fall, I'll be attending law school at Columbia Law, and I hope to pursue cybersecurity law while I'm there. I have a ton of experience tutoring in many different areas, however my specific specialty areas are Computer Science, Math (up to Calculus 2), and test prep. I love theatre, music, and video games, and I love learning new stuff!
