I graduated from a French school in Egypt (Sacre-coeur). I have a BA in French literature from Cairo University, and a minor in Arabic. I've been teaching French at Tulsa Community College since 2006. I also have years of experience teaching Arabic to elementary and middle school students at a private school in Tulsa, as well as teaching Arabic to adult learners at Sunday schools.I master three languages: Arabic , French and English. I am very patient and positive and I use different methods in teaching to make sure my classes are interactive and relaxed and fun. Yes, I watch the News (too much) and try to figure out what's going on - and why. They Why is important! I'll enjoy working with students and talking through important issues of the day.

As a graduate of Visitation Academy in St. Louis and a proud student of the University of Tulsa, I have always prioritized education in my own life and hope to do the same for others. I majored in Biology with a minor in Psychology and hope to attend veterinary school in the fall, so I do possess a medical background. I love everything to do with biology and am open to all disciplines of that science; along with biology, I am a proficient writer and would be glad to assist anyone struggling with essay writing or needing help with literature analysis. When tutoring, I try to emphasize the most important aspects of a subject and then narrow the focus on critical points so as not to overwhelm the student. I am a student at Columbia University studying History & American Studies! While in high school, I completed the International Baccalaureate program and took various Advanced Placement courses. At Columbia I have worked with various public defense organizations as an advocate, investigator, and research assistant. I also volunteer as a tutor on campus, in the New York community, and even on Rikers Island. I am passionate about helping students from all backgrounds develop their writing, reading, presentation, and test-taking skills that will translate to all aspects of their education!

I earned my PhD in experimental psychology in 2003. I have 17 years of teaching experience at the college and high school level. I have taught statistics on multiple occasions as well as a wide variety of math, science, and psychology courses. I also have extensive experience tutoring.
