I find a lot of joy in helping my fellow classmates at the University of Delaware better understand concepts that I myself have grasped. And there is no better feeling than when someone is truly grateful that you have given them the knowledge and tools to succeed in a course where they felt there was simply no hope and that they "just couldn't get it". The reality is that everyone is capable of understanding any subject, it just has to be communicated in the right way and the proper amount of time and work has to be put in. I am a recent medical school graduate currently taking a research year. I used to tutor with Varsity Tutors before matriculating into medical school, and coming back to assist my fellow medical professionals with USMLE tutoring feels like somewhat of a homecoming. During my time with students, I feel like patience is one of the most important things when trying to get through to a student, and coincidentally, my name means 'patience is good' in my native language. I look forward to helping students understand what they never thought they would be able to master, and I feel a personal sense of accomplishment when I can help a student work through their apprehensions to get to this stage.

Having worked as a tutor many times in the past, I understand the importance of connecting to one's students and developing a strong relationship, which fosters the student's growth and improvement. I always focus on my student's weak areas in order to help him/her strengthen them. I also work with them to understand why they are having trouble. I try to approach the problems in different ways to allow my student to think about the problem from different angles, and I help my students think logically and efficiently about tackling solutions. Lastly, I push my students to continue practicing so they don't get complacent. Even if they are strong in a certain area, I encourage them to try additional difficult problems to reinforce their knowledge. I especially love working with the French language.I have just completed a Bachelor of Arts in French from Belmont University and am pursuing teaching opportunities related to this degree. I also spent a semester in Angers, France, completing classes at the University located there. I primarily focused on translation, which is one of my favorite things to do with French. I have been lucky enough to get to travel extensively around Europe, which has greatly enriched my language abilities. I have tutored French for two years and have even instructed an adult French course. I love sharing this language with others and helping others understand its many complexities!I am a great test taker and have scored very highly on the ACT, SAT, and AP French exams. I also have completed several upper level English Literature and Writing courses, which qualifies me to aid with literature analysis, essay construction, and other writing struggles. When working with young learners, I see myself as tutoring not just the child, but the parents as well. I want to equip learners with the tools they need to be successful outside of our sessions. I have experience working with students with a variety of special needs, including ADHD, autism, behavioral issues, and lack of motivation.My approach to test prep sessions is to equip students with the best strategies for test-taking. Test-taking is a skill, and being ill-equipped in that skill area should not be a barrier to your larger goals.

Dr. Raymond N Larnyoh is a Pharmacist and a Pharmacy Practice Fellow for Clinical Pharmacy Associates. Dr. Larnyoh received his pre-pharmacy studies from Montgomery College with an associate in science and a focus on biology and chemistry. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Northeast Ohio Medical University. During his pharmacy training, Dr. Larnyoh worked as a pharmacy intern at the University Hospital Portage Medical Center for over two years. Dr. Larnyoh also served as the pharmacy representative for diversity and inclusivity. Today Dr. Larnyoh is completing a fellowship with Clinical Pharmacy Associates as Pharmacy Practice Fellow.

I graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelors of Arts in Physics and Mathematics. While in school, I realized I have a passion for helping my peers learn and understand material that I understand. I participated in the campus-sponsored program tutoring my peers in classes that I excelled at and opted to help my friends with material whenever I could. Even after leaving school and entering industry, I have been available to talk about technical subjects from my friends still in academia, as well as participate in interviewing prospective applicants to Dartmouth College. My goal is not just to make sure that you can get the correct answer, but that you understand the mechanics of how to get there, for any question in the same vein. Outside of tutoring, I work in the IT field and aim to return for a Masters in the near future.

I've lived internationally for five years, with my bilingualism serving as an asset for integration during my undergraduate studies at McGill in Montreal. I mostly tutor for English, French, American Literature, Writing, AP Readiness, and Public Speaking. In high school I participated in Extamporaneous Speaking, competing in local and out of state tournaments for four years. I also served as the Novice Instructor for my team for two years, in which I taught newcomers about public speaking. I firmly believe that the ability to express oneself succinctly and confidently is a necessary skill for future success.

I am a very outgoing and energetic person that loves to teach and work with youth. I love other cultures and language which is why I decided to study Spanish and ESL. I have completed both a Spanish Major and an ESL minor while pursuing a teaching degree at Eastern Washington University. The practicum, up to student teaching, has been completed to date. I tutor Spanish 1-3, English, and ESL. My personal favorite being Spanish or ESL because of the interaction not only with language but with the culture as well. I want students to gain a passion for learning, for language, and other cultures. I have traveled to Honduras 3 times and have had the wonderful chance to experience some of latin culture, customs, and ways of life, which has been by far some of the best experiences I have had in my life!
