Hello my name is Leo, I have been tutoring for about 4 years now. I have worked with students of all ages and have successfully helped many students improve their grades.

I am very passionate about teaching and helping students achieve their utmost goals. Making learning fun while tapping into students specific needs is instrumental for achievement, I take into consideration every individual students strengths and reinforce on them to be successful.

I am a Haitian-American who grew up in Miami, Florida. I studied business in Undergrad and then Medicine at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. I like tutoring students of all ages. When I teach, I always go back to the basics before moving forward. It's important for students to "truly get it." I also like to add repetition into my teaching style, while keeping it fun. I like telling stories of the places that I've been; I've been to over 10 countries. I am a light-hearted person who enjoys watching the NBA, playing tennis, and reading.

Hello,Update June 2021: I have just completed my first year teaching Algebra and Geometry to 150 students at a Title 1 public middle school in the MDCPS district, with a rating of highly effective. I am now certified in Florida for Math 5-12, including financial literacy, and Business Education and Marketing.======================July 2020:I have been tutoring elementary and middle/high school math for the past 2 years and teaching Business Education in the Miami Dade public schools for the past 15 years as an advisor for the Junior Achievement program in Entrepreneurship. I love learning and figuring out how to help someone learn something based on how they think and learn best. I am also a business owner and CPA, and have real world experience in business, marketing, accounting and finance.

I am a recent graduate from Florida State University with a degree in Computational Science and Applied & Computational Mathematics. At the university I was a mathematics tutor in their Academic Center for Excellence for 2 years. I've mainly tutored college students in subjects ranging from college algebra and trig to calculus but have had previous experience tutoring high school students. I am very passionate about mathematics and believe it is much more than equations and numbers. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified teacher in the state of Florida. I am a big football fan and enjoy playing guitar and slacklining in my off time.

I applied to this platform to help students throughout their vast amounts of work. I know how to work smart versus working hard. I want to show you all how to do that so you can spend more time doing things you actually love, because that's what life is about.

I am looking forward to support you in your learning journey.My passion for self improvement also led me to become a yoga teacher and inner development coach.Teaching Spanish is one of the most fun things I could do. I lived and traveled to many Spanish speaking countries and not only learned the nuances of Spanish between them but also their culture and traditions. I promise you that you will learn more than just how to communicate in Spanish if you choose me as your teacher.

Hi! I had difficulties in classes and school growing up and understand the importance of having support and encouragement to move forward and gain confidence. I have a big heart and a desire to help others empower themselves through guiding with patience and empathy. I am a non-smoker, music and animal lover and also love to read and continue to learn. I have a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and an AA in Music theory and vocal performance. My approach is non-judgmental and I enjoy finding creative and fun ways to help students and client's reach goals. In my counseling field I have provided education classes to clients from children to teens. Throughout college I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children and assisted with reading, writing and math homework and have continued to assist students of all ages with homework, test prep and projects. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting with and working with your loved one.
