After completing my Master's in French, I moved to Nice, France for two years to teach university-level English. Prior to this, I taught French in Hoboken, NJ for students ages 5-10 for an academic year. During my undergraduate career, I minored in Spanish as a nod to my Hispanic heritage and worked with the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations. I am a strong advocate for an individualistic teaching approach; no one student learns the same as another and I believe it is my responsibility as an educator to tailor my methods to my students' needs.

I love working with students and helping them learn and see concepts in different ways. I have been teaching for 6 years. My strengths are in teaching ELA (english language arts) and math. I am fluent in Spanish and can support in reading , writing, and speaking of Spanish. I am a bilingual education education, so I am licensed to teach in both english and spanish. All of which to indicate the process of season changing one ending and another to arrive . So the process of learning and the release of greatness comes in cycles . After graduating from Northwestern University and later, Loyola Law School, I entered the field of Criminal Law to defend individuals' 4th and 5th amendment rights. After several years in White Collar Criminal Defense, I joined the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office to gain experience in trial work and serve the public. As a prosecutor for nearly thirty years, I gave defendants the benefit of a doubt and a constructive second chance. In the course of many trials and written briefs, I learned the importance of clear and concise oral and written communication. I am passionate about showing others how to have fun creating and shaping a persuasive and clear written product whether a school essay, a college application or as a life skill. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, travel, my dogs, reading and assisting screenwriting professionals produce winning works.

For nearly 10 years, I have gained experience as a school counselor, adjunct professor, and mental health counselor - all of which involve my love and passion for both psychology/counseling and helping others. I have learned a great deal from these professional experiences and continue to learn from them each and every day. I strive to share what I learn with others and help them in any way I can.

I am a graduate of Chestnut Hill College and The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. I received my Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology and Two Master Degrees; one of Education and the other of Fine Arts. I have dedicated my professional career to educating Biology and Theater students in Higher Education, High School and Middle School. I am passionate about intentional and experiential educational practices which I believe are the foundation for success. I focus on providing applicable knowledge and skills for all students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology and Theater. In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, reading, watching movies and directing/performing in community/regional theater productions.
