I did an Engineering master in France (ESEO) and a Business master (ESSCA) in the goal to be a trade Engineer.I was a tennis teacher for 4 yours to pay for my studies. My pupils were from 3 to 80 years old, so I have experience in management and tutoring also because I gave for 2 years mathematics lesson in Nantes.I can give Mathematics lesson thanks to my studies and French lesson because that's my native language, and I like to share my experience.I'm very calm, and I have a lot of patience, I think that it's the most important in tutoring.

My favorite subjects are math and programming because I enjoy the problem solving that comes with them.When both teaching and learning, I try to focus on the how and why rather then just learning to solve problems. I am degreed Materials Engineer with over 25 years of experience in Engineering and Business. I have taught and tutored High School and College Math and Science over the past 20 years.I excel at working with students that struggle with math taught through traditional means. I enjoy dispelling the fear of math that these students often have.Traditional math approaches review a concept and quickly move to solving problem. Students that struggle with math are often moved into the problem solving mode before they fully understand the concepts. This will oftentimes lead to a student learning a process to solve a problem without understanding the underlying concept. When a problem that does not align with process used to solve is present, the student ends up lost.I prefer to focus on the student understanding the concepts before we tackle problems. If the underlying concepts are fully understood, rote processes are not needed as the student has confidence to adapt to the problem presented.

I am a rising junior at Tufts University, where I am receiving a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science. I have worked for my local elementary school, created bootcamps for students with classmates, and took on many students in my own time. As such, I have worked as a tutor in both private and group settings for students from all walks of life, whether it be editing college essays or navigating common core math with third-grade students. However, I do have a preference for teaching students privately, as I believe everyone learns in a different manner and different pace. As a result, I am always adapting the way I explain concepts to play to the student's strengths and contextualize the information in a way that is easily understood by them. I am most passionate about Computer Programming, English, and Math. I have achieved my PhD and have professional reading fluency in Greek and Latin. I finished a Masters in Latin from the University of Florida in the summer of 2018. I have six undergraduate Latin classes from Patrick Henry College with a 3.8 GPA. I have 3 years experience teaching overseas second language learners, including 1 year at an institute in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and 2 years at an American college in Bahrain.
