Hello! My name is Morgan and I am eager to teach prospective students about the subjects I am passionate about.My areas of expertise are sociology, criminology, and political science. My academic background includes receiving my Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration on Criminology from SUNY Oneonta. There, I also recieved minors in Political Science and Philosophy. More recently, I graduated with a Master of Science in Comparative Criminal Justice from Leiden Law School in the Netherlands.Subjects I have tutored include: Sociological Theory, Criminological Theory, Intro to Sociology, Intro to Criminology, and Subcultures and Countercultures, just to name a few!I consider myself to be outgoing and attentive to other's needs! I can easily adapt to any learning style and take passion in teaching others about the subjects I have studied.

I have always had a love of learning, and it is an attitude I always seek to impart to students. About half of my extended family (including my parents) are educators, and I am of the firm belief that education can change lives. That certainly doesn't mean it's easy. No one is good at everything, and sometimes all it takes is an outside push, or someone to explain the issue a different way. Tutoring can provide that missing element -- whether it's a sudden "I get it!" moment or a more gradual path to understanding.As for me, I graduated from Macalester College, a well-known liberal arts school in the Midwest, where I majored in political science. I have had the pleasure of working with kids in a number of different environments, from volunteering in schools to working at childcare/preschool facilities. And, (mostly) unrelated to my tutoring abilities, I am also an old movie aficionado, lover of fantasy novels, and world traveler whenever I get the chance. In high school, I was one of those cool kids who attended math camp and learned to solve Rubik's Cubes -- a skill that now just makes its resurgence as an occasional party trick.

I am Joseph and am originally from LaGrange, Georgia. I received my undergraduate degree in History at the University of Georgia, where I was enrolled in the Honors Program. While at Georgia, I spent a semester abroad at Oxford University in England. I went on to study Law at the University of Mississippi, where I earned a JD in 2012.My love for history as well as my on-campus involvement during college and during law school have given me the opportunity to teach one-on-one in nontraditional settings. In my role as an interpretive volunteer at the Atlanta History Center, I have enjoyed being able to answer visitors' questions about what life was like during earlier eras. Likewise, as a new member educator for my college fraternity, I worked closely with a pledge class as they learned the history, traditions, and expectations of our organization.I hope to impart my enthusiasm for learning to your son or daughter in our tutoring sessions. I will work to break down difficult areas into manageable blocks, building confidence and knowledge that together will lead to success. I will also work to develop individualized study strategies that work for your son or daughter.I look forward to meeting with you to plan for your student's academic excellence!

I work with kids from K to 8th grade.I graduated as Elementary teacher with endorsement in Special Education in Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in 2019.Right now, I am studying a Master's as Spanish teacher as a second language.I don't like to teach my students in one only method/style. Teachers should adapt themselves to students necessities. That's why we need to mix techniques/methods/styles in order to get the best from each student.

Hello! My name is Lori Meredith. I am a retired, thirty-three year elementary teacher. During my years of teaching I have worked with children from kindergarten to fifth grade. I also spent seventeen years as a school media specialist for 2 different elementary schools. It was very rewarding. I loved helping students find the right books to read.I enjoy watching children learn! I miss interacting with young students and I think that tutoring will give me a means to do that.I believe that we must all learn something new everyday. I strive to do that personally as well as with my students.

I am currently getting my Physics degree at Seattle University with minors in mechanical and electrical engineering. I have a passionate for helping students and a drive to inspire them to use the tools from a variety of subject areas to solve problems and achieve their goals.

I enjoy working with children of all ages and love to tutor and help a child succeed in school. I like to give a lot of praise and encouragement to motivate students to reach success. I have experience working with students from Pre-K through College. My strengths are Reading/Writing, Math, and History of any kind.

I graduated from Brown University, majoring in history. I first discovered my interest in tutoring when I was a teenager. I was interested in volunteering in my community and took part of a program to tutor kids within elementary schools. I'm comfortable with a wide range of subjects but I'm most passionate about History, English and Literature. These are topics I love discussing in general and I'm always happy to have a chance to help someone else find enjoyment in the subject. Trying to encourage of love of learning is an important part of my teaching philosophy and I try to do so by finding out what my students are interested in.Outside tutoring; I enjoy reading and taking walks around the city. I also enjoy playing squash and practicing various languages.

My name is Gloria and I am a first generation, international student who recently completed a PhD in Art History at the University of Washington in Seattle. I am passionate about teaching art history and tutoring students who want to improve their writing, critical thinking, and visual literacy skills. I am also a native Italian speaker and I would love to help students learn Italian through conversation on art & culture.

I am a recent graduate of Williams College, where I studied political science with sidelines in history and English. Next fall, I am headed to Ithaca to study at Cornell Law School. I have experience tutoring in all subjects for high school standardized tests and in writing and history at higher levels, and am excited to pass on the benefits of my study as a tutor for the LSAT.
