I am a University of Miami alumna, and graduated summa cum laude in 2012 with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in History. During my time at the University of Miami, I worked as a tutor for the University’s Athletic Academic Services, where I tutored student athletes in a variety of subjects, and helped them devise study schedules that maximized their academic success. Since then, I have worked as a full-time tutor in a Massachusetts high school, where I provided focused Math instruction to a personal caseload of 12 ninth and tenth graders, and also as a Spanish language tutor for adults and college-aged students in Miami. Many of the students I have worked with are English language learners, and I am comfortable tutoring in both English and Spanish.While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I most enjoy tutoring Literature, Composition and language. I am an enthusiastic reader myself, and also enjoy trying out new DIY projects and going on meandering bike rides in my spare time.

I am a 3rd Year mathematics PhD student currently attending Howard University. Additionally I am a graduate teaching assistant for the mathematics department, and have acted as a lecturer teaching College Algebra to 3 different high schools as part of that assignment. From my explanation, the students could not only remember this character, but also figured out the original educational philosophy of China. Furthermore, students could make comparison between Chinese teaching philosophy and American teaching philosophy, and this made them understand China more profoundly.I have taught many courses including AP Chinese, Chinese in speech and writing (elementary, intermediate, and advanced), oral Chinese proficiency (level 1 and 2), Chinese characters (level 1 and 2), and business Chinese.
