I have received my education at University of Nebraska at Omaha for my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. I have received my graduate education at Bellevue University for Masters of Science in Clinical Counseling. I have tutored for several years in reading and math. I have helped several colleagues prepare and pass national certification in various subjects. I tutor math, reading, psychology, NCE, and anything that I would find of interest. My favorite subject to tutor is psychology because of how much I have devoted to it in my life. I like to do art, read, and be outside. I am here to help your child learn how to excel in their area of interest. I use a hands on approach to help children and adults utilize effective ways to learn new techniques.

Prior to this, I received my Masters of Science in Economics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in 2019, and my BA in Economics from DePaul University in 2017. During my junior year of undergrad, I was an exchange student at Sciences Po's campus in Reims, France.I enjoy helping others learn things that they may struggle with or dislike, and I always welcome a challenge!

At both my undergraduate and graduate institutions, almost all of my homework consisted of reading texts or writing papers. Therefore I have continuously enhanced my English composition skills. I know how to read and analyze texts quickly without losing content. Reworking information I've read together with my own thoughts is now second nature to me. I make my writing particularly clear by my impeccable understanding of English grammar, which I gained through extensive practice and from studying four other languages (French, German, Latin, Ancient Greek).

I believe education is the opportunity to steer your life in the direction you want. I love helping students find their strengths and shore up their weaknesses so they can accomplish their academic dreams.I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I also have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate from Norwood English.I have taught and tutored in multiple different capacities in my life. I taught reading development skills to students of all ages (from age 4 to age 64 and every age in between). I have also taught English as a Second Language to primary schools students in Beijing, China. Lastly, I have privately tutored a Chinese professor and her daughter on English as a Second Language for 6 months. She also tutored me on Mandarin Chinese.The subjects I tutor include ACT prep (in all subject areas), high school math, reading, writing, and English, computer science, study skills and organization, essay writing and editing, and college Algebra.My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and writing (because English is such a valuable tool to every student for their whole educational careers) as well as ACT prep (because testing is so important for college) and math (because I like breaking down complex problems into easy steps).My teaching philosophy is that everybody can become a better learner and that schoolwork is just like anything else: with practice and guidance, you WILL get better.In my free time, I like to sing and play guitar, play board games with friends, rock climb, hang out with my girlfriend and her dog, and get involved with my church. I also love hanging out with international students and helping them have better experiences in the US.

With that degree I also have an emphasis in Social Studies that allows me to teach middle grades. Through my college and work experiences, I have been able to work with students from first grade to eighth with a variety of personalities, interests, and needs. I have loved every minute of it! Including those students who were difficult and defiant because I never gave up on them and we learned how to work together to achieve that which was once difficult. I also worked with special needs children and adults during my college career. It was a challenge, but one of the best jobs I've ever had! I love to help students surpass their goals and to make sure that they take away valuable lessons from their tutoring experience. I have previously tutored, and am currently available to tutor, in various subjects, with special emphasis on the maths, statistics, and science gen ed's ranging from middle school level courses to high school level courses.Students tend to lose motivation after they think they've hit a glass ceiling in their learning abilities, but I believe in breaking that glass ceiling and introducing students to a world of great knowledge that can be gained by anyone if one puts the right focus on their goals. This is where I come in and help students to realize their true potential because I've been in the same position many times only to realize in the end that the possibilities are truly endless for what one can achieve.
