I am pretty good at math and science. I have an artistic talent. If you need help with drawing, I can do that with no problem. I can draw very realistically. I am a fluent French speaker. If anyone needs help with French subject, count me in. I can speak and understand Spanish but, I am not fluent. I am a junior at Rice University working towards a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Since I moved to Houston, I have been tutoring family members to help them develop their math skills, and make sure they gain a better understanding of the subject. My experience with them made me realize that I greatly enjoy tutoring as it allows me to help others succeed in their studies. I have also worked as a lab assistant and a grader for the Fundamentals of Computer Engineering course at Rice University, and will be doing it again in the upcoming semester. I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects such as math, physics, and chemistry. However, I am most interested in math and topics related to computer science, and hardware design as I find them most challenging. As a tutor my goal is not to simply help out my students with a given subject, but to make them think critically and understand how to learn on their own, so that they overcome every obstacle that they encounter, now and in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy reading non fiction books, and scientific journals, running, and a good basketball game.

I learned to love math at a young age when I came to the Unites States from Poland, because it was the only subject that made sense to me at the time since I did not speak English. Over the years, I have found passion for science as well. Throughout high school and college I spent lots of my time working as a swim instructor for children and adults of all ages, and I also tutored various subjects on the side. My hobbies are many but currently I am grooming young musicians in how to function in jazz and rock bands as well as teaching them to play their instruments. I'm also learning how to grow grapes (with limited success).

I have prior experience tutoring at Kumon, teaching elementary and middle school students a wide range of topics in math, reading comprehension and writing. I have a passion for science and mathmatics and understand that these may be topics many students dislike. I aim to help students by using examples from the real world as well as other techniques that make it easier for the student to appreciate and understand these topics.

I graduated with a BS in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Polytechnic Institute (you may not know where or what that is, but that's ok). In addition, I also received an academic minor in Computer Information Science. Ever since I was a young kid, I always enjoyed helping others out wherever I could. Even today, I still get joy when an opportunity arises. The main topics I enjoy teaching is early stage math as well as Minecraft. I believe in working with students to help build their understanding of a topic so that their confidence increases overtime. In addition to academic work, I also enjoy playing Minecraft (Java edition) and participating in sporting events.

I believe that numbers and mathematics are all around us and a strong understanding of basic applications is an essential part of every student's education. I strive to create a friendly and light-hearted working environment where students are comfortable asking questions because, from my experience, it is more conducive to learning. I tutor a host of Mathematical subjects but also specialize in helping students through the academic writing process. In my spare time I enjoy writing various forms of fiction and playing competitively for my college's Men's Basketball team.
