Teaching others is something I enjoy the most. I believe that to become an excellent tutor one must have a desire to assist students in the learning process, and this is one quality which I feel I definitely possess.I have been tutoring students ages from 10-24 and SAT for 5+ years. I know how to get a student well prepared for any standardized test. I am well familiar with all the techniques to achieve a higher score. I can also show a student how to study effectively so that they do well in school.Outside of tutoring, I'm a Mechanical Engineer.

I graduated from Wingate University with a Master's in Arts for Teaching. My teaching license is for students K-6. In order to attain my license I needed to pass three difficult Pearson tests in Reading, Math and a test on mixed subjects (Science, Social Studies, etc.). I passed them all on the first try. I have worked as a Student Teacher in 3rd grade classroom for the Fall 2018 semester and have taught all the subjects included in 3rd grade curriculum. I love teaching Elementary Math because the way schools teach math now is so different from when I was a child. Schools are now implementing the use of manipulatives (like objects such as small bears, or fraction tiles), drawings, and other creative means to teach the conceptual concepts behind math. I l also have a background and a Bachelor's in Fine Arts so I really enjoy teaching math this way.I also love to teach reading and writing as well as speaking and communication skills. In my free time I love to cook and try new recipes, paint and draw, and write letters.

I am a graduate of Wofford College, and I received my Bachelor of Arts in both Spanish and Government with a concentration on American Politics. During my time at Wofford, I had opportunities to tutor First Graders in Title IX schools in subjects such as ELA and Mathematics; I studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador; and I hold education as one of the most vital aspects of our lives. I look forward to connecting with students, and my strongest tutoring areas include conversational Spanish, Elementary Mathematics and English language Arts, and History. I believe that every child has the potential to reach their goals, and it is vital to support and encourage students in their academic endeavors. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to Latinx music, enhancing my Spanish abilities, and walking my dog!

I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. During my junior year, I spent the fall through summer semesters helping instruct general chemistry classes and organic chemistry labs. Overall, I personally enjoy teaching and tutoring others not only because it better helps people understand some of the more difficult concepts of the material but because it also allows me to fully cement my knowledge and help people further.

I believe you have untapped potential. You may not write the next great American novel way longer than the last tweet you read but maybe you will! I do believe firmly in one thing you have something to say. I believe I can help you find that thing and say it well. I'm passionate about helping students get in touch with what is inside and helping bring that out. I love English and writing and reading. Don't love reading yet? No problem! You'll love it more when you're better at it, which I believe you can get better at it! I love speech and theatre. Hate getting up in front of a group of people? No problem! I can help you both prepare the words and cultivate calm in the moment with mindfulness and meditation practices. These can also be really helpful in test-taking. Also, I have wonderful tips for studying for those tests.I have a Bachelor's in English, minor in Speech and Theatre. I was certified to teach 7-12 grade English/Language Arts; I'm NCLB highly-qualified K-12 Reading. I've taught students from 3rd grade to 12th grade to college freshman to college adults to seminary students. You're welcome! I also have a Masters of Divinity, specializing in pastoral counseling, and a Doctorate of Ministry in leadership and spiritual formation, in case you have any questions in those areas. I believe we're all saved by ARK: Ask clarifying questions, Reflect before responding, Keep advice unless requested. So I'm here to tutor you in what YOU ask for nothing else. You're the driver. I affirm a student-centered approach to teaching. I'm here to adjust and modify to support how you learn and think. I'm here to help you figure out those things about yourself. I'm here to share my joy of life-long learning and encourage your confidence on that journey. Sure, getting tutoring is extra work but it can also be extra FUN!I'm a laughter enthusiast, walker of woods, collector of hats, rescuer of animals, and lover of people. I hope to meet you soon!
