I am a current Master's Student studying Philosophy with a wide range of academic interests. I graduated with General Honors from the University of Chicago in 2018 with degrees in Statistics and East Asian Languages and Civilizations. I enjoy helping students achieve their full potential and primarily tutor standardized tests and college prep. Outside of tutoring I spend my time reading and playing board games.

I am a graduate of the University of Delaware. I received my Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree and obtained minors in Mathematics, Economics, and Biomedical Engineering. Since graduation I've worked for a large diversified manufacturing company in one of their leadership rotational programs. Over the past 2 years I've moved from Hartford, CT to Charlotte, NC and currently reside in Milwaukee, WI. During this time I've been active in the local communities, volunteering up to 10 hours per week. Much of my volunteer work has been focused on helping adult learners in Math and English as they progressed towards obtaining their GED and also helping young learners in the same subjects. I am a strong believer in not only learning the material at hand, but also developing a study strategy that will ensure long term success, regardless of the subject.
I am a graduate of Carthage College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science. Since graduation, I have been working in the field of software development. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Mathematics. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy making soaps and cute magnets, doing home improvement projects, and playing board games with friends.
I am an expressive, dynamic teacher that likes to make learning fun!
I am a graduate student currently working on my PhD in Literature. While I love reading and writing, my favorite part of graduate school has been working as a teaching assistant and helping undergraduate students improve their reading and writing skills. I love discovering students' different interests and personalities and seeing how their own unique knowledges come out in their work. As a TA, I found that students' writing changed the most when we could work one-on-one in office hours -- those are the people who came back to me and thanked me for helping them improve and build on their skills so much. That's what I love about tutoring: it really affords the time and space for me to give personalized, individual attention and feedback.
I am a bilingual school-based speech-language pathologist in Milwaukee. I have been working in the schools for over 4 years supporting Spanish speaking students with communication disorders. I completed my Master's in speech-language pathology from Marquette University in 2016. I have also tutored students of all grade levels in Spanish, math, reading and writing for over 8 years, and enjoy supporting learners so they can be successful at school and work towards their goals for the future. I work on a daily basis to support English language learners and students with special needs, and have tutored students from many diverse backgrounds. My approach to tutoring is identifying each individual's strengths and skills, and teaching specific strategies so the student can feel empowered to support their own learning. I am patient, thorough, and receptive to how each student learns best.
I am understanding and patientI know that the tutees feedback is sometimes more important than my own, so I make sure to leave room for those valuable conversations between us. I find that writing can sometimes be hard to reveal, so I always treat every writer with the utmost respect. I always tell writers that Im not here to tell them what they did wrong in
I am a 2016 graduate of Rice University with a B.A. in Sociology. I have had a passion for tutoring from a young age and have tutored many middle and high school students in math and spanish helping them raise their grades at least one, if not two grade levels. I have a passion for teaching and education.
I'm an Educational Assistant at Northwest Catholic School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On my spare time, I love to write screenplays, draw, and sing. I've had the pleasure of sharing some of my passions with first and second graders, as I have led art projects and singing lessons for a split class of this age group. As an avid writer, I have a thorough understanding of the English language, and my experiences with those first and second graders have taught me how to share my knowledge in simple and effective ways that kids can understand. I am very academically inclined and have been the beneficiary of a wide variety of schooling methods: home, public, private, charter and online. If I have learned anything from my schooling experiences, it's that there are so many different ways through which children can receive a great education. Every child is unique, and I believe that all students should have access to care and individualization in their schooling. And as a tutor, I'm in the extraordinary position of being able to bring this special attention into students' lives.
I am looking forward to meeting you at our first session.
I'm currently attending the University of Wisconsin: Milwaukee for Computer Science and have a history in the culinary arts.
I tutor college physics and astronomy, and teach physics at a technical college. To me, tutoring is a relationship, forged with each student individually to meet them where they are and to find and lead them along their own best path toward mastery of the subject and independent learning. In my free time, I love reading and writing science fiction and fantasy.
