Throughout college, I tutored many students in high school and college level math. I loved the process of helping people through math problems, so after graduating I served in the MN Math Corps as a Math Enrichment Tutor, where I learned research based teaching methods to tutor middle school students who were below proficiency in math. I have the most experience tutoring lower division engineering classes such as this (physics, statics, strength of materials, mechanics) but also enjoy and am comfortable with a wide array of math subjects from algebra to calculus. I am a very interactive and hands on tutor, and believe a free-flowing dialogue between student and teacher is essential for maximum learning efficiency.
