I graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Italian and English: Creative Writing in 2011. A Bay Area native, I stayed in the area after graduation to work in venture philanthropy. I am now pursuing an MA in Journalism at NYU. My mother is an elementary school teacher, and I get my love of learning and teaching from her! During undergrad, I worked for a private company, where I tutored English, History/Social Studies, and Social Sciences, as well as for Stanford, where I tutored Italian. As a tutor, I feel it is my job not only to help students succeed in a particular subject, but to ignite them as learners, find their intellectual passion, and become more engaged students. Though I enjoy tutoring a wide range of humanities subjects, my favorites are Italian and essay editing; I often tell friends that the nerdiest thing about me is that I truly love editing papers! Outside of school, I relax through yoga and running, I get creative in the kitchen, and I love to travel--whether exploring the city I live in, or going to far-flung corners of the globe.
