I have a master's degree in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and have taught rhetoric, composition, and literature courses at the post-secondary (university) level. I am currently completing a post-degree program at UMSL and will be certified to teach middle and high school English in December, 2014. I have tutored in college preparatory and 10th grade English classes at Soldan High School, and I have also served as a volunteer tutor at the International Institute of St. Louis, assisting high school students with English coursework. In addition, I worked for ten years at Washington University Medical School as a technical writer and research administrator. I very much enjoy being in the classroom and helping students reach their individual goals. I enjoy reading, writing, and attending my 10-year-old son's baseball games.
