I graduated from Vanderbilt University (Economics and Psychology) and Florida State University. Since graduation, I have been a software consultant. One of my favorite assignments was to teach technical topics to recent graduates and non-traditional students. I successfully taught Intro Java and Object Orientated Design in Paris, France, the UK, and the United States. My reviews were always positive as I have a calm demeanor and come across as a coach, not an aloof expert. While I have been a mentor in complex software processes and tools, I still love Intro Java. I am not an academic; the material I teach and tutor is what employers want and not esoteric. I love teaching and learning. I love learning so much that I returned to law school for my JD. I have been a student leader coaching first-year law students (1L). First-year students should not repeat my mistakes. When I am not coding in Java and the "cloud," I am a triathlete, having finished four Iron Man distance events (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run). See you in class.
