I am a dedicated educator with a love of science and a desire to help inspire students to embrace and understand the scientific principles that govern our world.
I attended Truman State University where I attained B.S. degrees in both chemistry and biology. I then went on to obtain my Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Weill Cornell Medical College (Cornell University).
I currently teach upper school science (biology and chemistry) at a top rated independent school in NYC. I also tutor AP and SAT subject test in science for high school students.
My philosophy is based on interdisciplinary thinking. It is important to connect different disciplines to help the students understanding and appreciation for them.
Outside academia, I am interested in music and theatre. I currently sing with the ensemble Essential Voices USA. I am also a life member of the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega
