I graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Psychology. I have worked for over five years in education, as a statistics tutor, a peer health educator, and most recently managing the education department at a local non-profit. So far, I have found tutoring math to be the most rewarding job. I am passionate about empowering students to grasp underlying mathematical concepts, not just memorize formulas. I find it so exciting to see concept click, and I work hard to make that happen. I think math is often taught in way that makes it seem more mysterious than it is. My goal is to dissolve that mystery! Currently I am tutoring basic math, pre-algebra, algebra I and algebra II. Besides teaching I enjoying going on runs with my dogs, cooking and traveling!
