Learning is beyond the confines of school. Any moment is an opportunity for learning. I'll capture these moments with my students and make them relevant and interesting.
As a life-long learner, I've used different methods and tools to facilitate my learning in and outside of school. Ten years of homeschooling and six-years of working at a learning center honed my methods to help students improve in reading and math. These methods and tools in my teaching toolbox will be used for the subjects of my choice.
Japanese is my main subject and I've taught it in a classroom, in a one-on-one setting, and at home. I'll share my techniques that got me fluent in English while living in Japan. Techniques students can use here to improve their Japanese.
My aim is to help students achieve their goals. I'd be delighted if my tutoring instilled and facilitated life-long curiosity and self-learning in my students. Just as my many great teachers did for me.
