Hello, my name is Natalie Limón. I graduated from Vassar College in 2015 where I studied Spanish, Environmental Studies, and Latin American and Caribbean cultures. I earned a BA in Hispanic Studies and a minor in Sustainability, and wrote my thesis on religious expression in the Dominican Republic and New York City. I've tutored off and on throughout my life and have consistently built strong relationships with my students whilst assisting them in achieving their academic goals. I try to be sensitive and respectful of individual needs and learning styles, and have extensive experience working with foreign exchange students. I've also worked with students with moderate learning disorders. I'm friendly, patient, empathetic, and passionate.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I'm flexible and can adjust to a student's individualized needs; however, I typically aim towards being methodical, consistent, and persistent. I've seen that doing something many times in the same way helps students understand, master, memorize, and in turn, build confidence.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
After getting to know one another, I try and familiarize myself with the student's course requirements, if any, and their progress thus far. I seek to identify missing assignments, failed tests, upcoming deadlines, etc. If the student isn't currently enrolled in school, then I ask them what their goals are so that we can set our own benchmarks.
