I first learned Spanish in 2007 while living in Colombia, South America, where I attended Las Delicias. Later, I studied Spanish at Howard University in Washington, D.C. This experience sparked my desire to teach Spanish, so I interned for a language company that taught elementary school students. Afterwards, I worked at a private school, in Landover, MD, teaching Spanish to high school students and part time for another language company. I have a passion for teaching and a love for the Spanish language.
Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
“If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.” - Albert Einstein
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Ask various questions that will help me both know what level of understanding the student has of the subject, as well as begin to see the best way the student learns.
