I grew up in Southern California before I move to Idaho to attend college. I then had the opportunity to live in Germany for two years as a service missionary. I learned German by talking to a variety of people every day. I then came back to America and continued my education at Brigham Young University where I got my bachelor's degree in communication disorders with the intent to pursue a masters degree and become a Speech-Language Pathologist. My professional background has helped me to develop as a language teacher because of my added coursework in language structure and grammar, phonetics and phonology, and function and anatomy of the voice and vocal tract.
