I am a 26 year old living in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised here, I obtained by undergraduate degree at Trinity College (Hartford, CT) where I double majored in Anthropology and Spanish. I was the Presidential Fellow for the Anthropology Department 2011, on the Editorial Board for the Trinity Papers, graduated with Honors in General Scholarship, and am a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society. I wrote my senior thesis in Spanish and received honors for that as well.
I took a leap of faith during my junior year and signed up to being one of two Trinity College students to study abroad in Santiago, Chile. I studied at the Chilean university, Pontificía Universidad Católica de Chile. This whole experience truly changed my life; after graduation, I moved there.
For the past 3 and a half years I have been working and living abroad in Santiago, Chile, just recently returning to the states in September of this year. During this time, I obtained my certification to teach English as a Second language, taught ESL to everyone from small children to adults, and worked as a bilingual Pedagogical Coordinator for several institutes during the latter portion of my time. I also taught ex-pats Spanish independently during my time in Chile, as it is one of my true loves.
