I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology and English from UC Berkeley in 2009. After graduating, I spent a lot of time traveling, conducting biological field surveys for different government institutions, universities, and nonprofits. I just recently moved back to the Bay Area and I’m just getting started with tutoring! Learning is a real passion of mine, and I consider myself a lifelong student. The best compliment anyone could give me about my teaching is that I make the material interesting and exciting. I think my greatest strength as a tutor is my patience. I take care to listen and make sure I understand where my students are having trouble so I can adjust my approach before tackling the material. I tutor a wide variety of subjects but the subjects I love best are English, Literature, and Reading. In my spare time, I like to read and write fiction, bird-watch, bike, and go hiking and camping. I’m also fascinated by languages, and I’m usually taking some language class or other - right now I’m learning Japanese.
