I am a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. I have a passion for education and traveling and am working towards bringing those two things together through a career in International Education. I received my Bachelor's Degree in International Studies with a minor in French Literature, and I spent a year of my time as an Undergraduate studying Political Science in Paris, France. I am a certified ESL instructor, so after I graduated I spent two years teaching English as a Foreign Language to High School students in Japan. Foreign language has quickly become one my favorite subject to tutor! Outside of my work in Japan I have also tutored refugee students in San Diego in English and various other subjects via the International Rescue Committee. I am available to tutor for English, ESL, and French. In every subject I tutor, I hope to make the material interesting for my students by applying it to their own experiences and hobbies. I know how important it is to meet students where they are at and identify attainable goals so that they can see where their efforts are going and develop their own appreciation for education. When I am not tutoring or traveling, I like to spend my free time doing yoga or going for a long hike. I also enjoy photography and reading and can can often be found with a coffee in hand!
