I am graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a specialization of Environmental and Biological Conservation. In addition, I recently received a Master's degree in Aquatic Resources from Texas State University. While I have a broad educational base, I am most passionate about biology and environmental science. As a graduate student I taught multiple undergraduate biology labs, assisting students in their understanding of basic biological principles. With this experience, I developed a teaching philosophy that emphasizes feedback and critical thinking. Understanding the natural processes that build the foundation of our world can be very exciting and I always try to inspire student curiosity in the world around them. In my spare time I enjoy reading books, watching movies, and walking my dog to farmer's markets and around local parks.
