Having travelled vastly and lived and studied abroad, I am a confident, cosmopolitan individual able to deal with a range of people in a variety of situations. Two separate periods of study at the University of Pau (France) enabled me to attain fluency in French, demonstrating my strong linguistic skills. Furthermore, my achievements in all academic courses, and in particular in Spanish where I attained distinction, have been to an excellent standard and I believe that I apply this well-rounded knowledge of my subject area to good effect while teaching.
I am a very creative, independent, dynamic person with strong interpersonal skills. I have taught in one of the top UK private schools, where I was involved in preparing students for the final exams (A levels) at pre college level to attain top grades: competing nationally for places in Oxford and Cambridge.
I have the ability to teach a wide range of students from a range of backgrounds and academic abilities. I have developed differentiated work to ensure that individual needs have been met. I value effort as equally as achievement. I believe that whilst academic qualifications are important, it is the ability to communicate effectively that enables pupils to progress. As an educator, I also feel that it is a prerequisite to develop and nurture personalities and aspiring talents.
