When you unlock a love for learning, it opens doors to joy and amazing opportunities for the rest of your life. That's why I'm passionate about helping students overcome hurdles in the subjects that challenge them most. It's so special to see students "find their spark" and gain confidence as they accomplish their educational goals.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Global Leadership Studies from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. I also studied at the Universidad de Valladolid in Spain. I've been tutoring since I was in middle school first with local school and civic organizations, then with larger non-profits. A lot of my tutoring work has focused on immigrant and refugee communities. I've used my Spanish language skills to help both youth and adults find their footing with English literacy. I've also worked with students on homework and study help in various subjects. Currently, I am the Director of Operations for a startup.

While I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about Spanish. It's so exciting when students realize the power of language and have the chance to connect with another culture. I use an empathetic, motivational approach in my tutoring, which pairs especially well with language-learning. It can be difficult to learn to think and speak in another language, but it's worth the effort!

When I'm not tutoring, I love to learn other languages. (I know a little bit of Italian, Portuguese, and French!) I also enjoy reading, spending time outside, trying new foods, and traveling.
