I am an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia. Currently, I am working towards earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology, but that may change because I am only a first year. When I attended middle and high school, not only would I tutor my peers through various honor societies, but I would also tutor elementary school students through my local community action center for around four years. Working with elementary school students from low-income families helped me broaden my horizons as a tutor and realize the decline in the quality of public education. Since a young age, I felt that having a good education is a strong foundation to having a successful future and I hope to help students be able to take steps towards improving in their academic careers. Also due to previous experiences, I feel that all students should have access to the academic support that they need no matter their background.
