I graduated from Messiah University with a degree in Environmental Science. I have a background in environmental education that focused on topics such as sustainability, Earth science, and animal/plant biology. While at Messiah, I completed courses such as ecology, plant/ animal form and function, organic chemistry, environmental chemistry, plant taxonomy, ornithology, GIS, environmental issues and sustainable solutions, and environmental ethics. I have also completed research in tropical rainforest ecosystems (Malaysia/Brunei), desert ecosystems (Southwest US), and temperate forest biomes. I look forward to helping students thrive in their learning environments by helping them to break complex topics down into digestible fragments so that we can tackle them together. I understand what it's like to struggle and I have explored many forms of studying because I believe catering to students' needs fosters the best outcome.
I can be found outdoors when I'm not tutoring. I enjoy playing with my family and pets, camping, and gardening. I also volunteer with a water sampling group through Dickinson College to monitor water quality in my community. I recently accepted an Environmental Educator position with my local county's Parks and Recreations.
