I believe it is important to work with students in a variety of ways. Each learner is different and has different strengths. I explain concepts in a variety of ways to make sure students understand. I believe it is important to adapt my teaching to meet the needs of the students.

Undergraduate Degree: Southern Utah University - Bachelor of Science, Music Teacher Education
I have been teaching for over 15 years. I graduated from Southern Utah University with my degree in Music Education in 2003. Starting in 2004, I taught private voice and piano lessons to students. In 2014, I began teaching music at a local elementary school. In my classroom, I have taught singing, rhythm games, recorder, ukulele, music theory and how to write your own song! I love sharing my love of music with my students. I also enjoy musical theater. I have done several communtiy theater productions. I have been privileged to play the roles of Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast," Jack's Mother in "Into the Woods," Mabel in "The Pirates of Penzance," and Kim in "Bye, Bye BIrdie." I love to listen to rock and roll on the radio. My favorite music group is The Beatles! In 2017, I began tutoring ESL students in the basics of English grammar, reading, and conversation. I love working with young people from all around the world.
