Greetings! my name is Ms. Bates and I am the special education teacher in Brooklyn, NY. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA but have roots in New Orleans, Arkansas, Chicago, and East St. Louis. I moved to New York in 2012 as a freelance dancer and Pilates instructor!

I graduated from Ohio University with my Bachelors in Fine Childhood Arts, Florida State University with A Masters in Arts with a certificate in arts in community practice, and Relay Graduate school of education with my Masters in The art of teaching and a concentration in teaching exceptional learners. This is my fifth year with teaching and I am excited to begin working with you and your children to help them learn how to read, write, and be kind to others!
