I graduated with Honors in both my Bachelor's and Master's degree studies. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. My goal is not to help you simply pass your math classes, but to help you understand and appreciate mathematics. Math is a universal language and one that helps us relate to the world around us. Let's discover the math around us together!
I have been tutoring math for 9 years, and I taught 3 years of secondary school in Uganda, Africa. I currently teach College Algebra online and tutor for middle school, high school, and college math courses.
Others would describe me as bubbly, kind, and encouraging. As a teacher, I want to make math fun and enjoyable for you while challenging and supporting you. One of my mottos is, "Mistakes are a key part of the learning process because they help us learn and grow in understanding." I want students to develop a positive mindset toward mathematics and not have negative feelings toward it. While math can be fun, it also requires discipline. Part of supporting you as a tutor is reminding you of the importance of studying. If you're looking for someone who will simply give you the answers, I'm definitely not your gal. The Socratic Method (learning through questioning) describes my teaching style. I help my students by asking guiding questions that help them think deeper about math or that steer them in the right direction when solving problems.

I love sports (Go Blues! Go Cardinals!) and puzzles. I'd rather be in the sun than in the snow. I'm a total nerd who thinks math is fun!
