I am currently a student at Cornell University majoring in Nutritional Science to become a registered dietitian. I have experience tutoring STEM subjects and English/writing from teaching at a children's summer camp and assisting in tutoring programs through the National English Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (a national math honor society). My two favorite subjects to teach are math (middle school/algebra in particular) and writing! I believe having a strong foundation in middle school math/algebra is so important because the basics learned from these classes help establish success in higher level math courses; I want to help make sure students grasp the content to the fullest extent. I also enjoy teaching writing as writing skills carry with us our whole lives, whether it be in an English class, college application essay, or a letter! I make it a priority to tutor from a place of patience and encouragement as I want to meet students where they are at to create a safe and comfortable environment. I hope to help motivate students to learn and achieve their goals!
