I am passionate about education and helping students achieve their potential. I attended Rice University in Houston, TX where I majored in History and Political Science. After graduating, I taught World and AP World History in Houston for four years. As a tutor, I specialize in helping students prepare for the ACT and the AP World History exams, and have a great deal of experience in helping students improve their writing and reading ability. I am also able to tutor students for the SAT as well as history and English courses. I am planning to return to school to earn my M.A. in Education. I have proven success in preparing students for standardized examinations and believe that all students are capable of growth and improvement. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and playing soccer, video games and Dungeons + Dragons.
