My name is Lucas Bensley. I am a doctoral candidate at Loyola University in Chicago with two year's experience in and a passion for education. The majority of my training has been in history, political science, college-level research and writing, as well as various other subjects.
I have taught children from middle school level to the undergraduate level and enjoy helping students gain confidence toward studies and a passion for learning.
As a former substitute teacher and, now, a teaching assistant at Loyola, I have broad experience working with children at high school and undergraduate levels with an emphasis on patience, focusing on their needs, and enhancing their ability to communicate in written form transparently and professionally. In other words, my goal is to teach students how to express their ideas and arguments with clarity and authority, skills that I believe will best serve them in the years ahead.
I very much look forward to the opportunity to repeat and extend my teaching experience in this new and exciting medium!
