I am dynamic, student-focused, and passionate teaching professional who is committed to assisting all students in reaching their full potential.
I possess a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mathematics and Adolescent Education and NJ Standard Certificate, Teacher of Mathematics.
Being a versatile educator, I have had the opportunity to instruct a wide variety of students including those afflicted with learning disabilities, ELS students, and those who perform below-, on-, and above grade level. As a result, I am a person how takes the time to accommodate multiple intelligences, and provides individualized support to help each individual fulfill his or her own unique goals.
My teaching approach is one that is very hands-on and interactive. I find that students learn best by doing; therefore I incorporate technology, math manipulatives, problem solving activities and real world connections to reinforce important concepts and help students develop essential academic skills. In addition, I carefully monitor student progress and make adjustments as necessary to make certain that everyone is on track.
One of my greatest strengths is raising the level of students' motivation. I offer plenty of praise and reinforcement to boost students' self-confidence and self-esteem. As well, I establish a nurturing learning environment, where each individual feels safe, special, and truly cared for.
