I'm an engineer with a Master's degree from NYU, I have been tutoring students for more than 3 years in several Math subjects at New Haven Public Schools in Connecticut, I always try to help students know the why before the how so that they are more engaged in class. Each student has their strengths & weaknesses. I have to sit down (or meet online) with the student and ask them questions that will help me know them better and hence tailor my teaching approach to suit their needs.
I also have experience tutoring students that needs special accommodation (like 504 plan, students that have ADHD, anxiety, etc.)
Outside of tutoring, I'm a geek and love DIY projects, i.e. Single-board computers, woodworking, coding, etc.
I also speak and teach Arabic.
