I am a graduate of the University of the Arts and Long Island University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Communications and , Masters in Education with a focus on teaching Adolescents with Disabilities. I have been working in NYC public, charter, and private middle and high schools for the past 9 years as a general education teacher, special education teacher, one-on-one tutor, and learning specialist. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my passion is working with students to improve their overall reading comprehension, fluency, and accuracy, as well as encourage a love of reading. Seeing the growth in confidence that my students experience (both in and out of the classroom) as a result of their academic achievements is what continues to inspire me in this career path. In my spare time, I teach and practice yoga, read, cook, go to museums and cultural institutions, and, spend as much time as I can outdoors.
