I am a graduate of Virginia State University. I have a Bachelors of Arts in English from there. Currently, I am attending graduate school online at Arizona State University. I will have a Masters in English by this May. I have been a tutor for over a year and I tutor primarily in the subjects of English, History, and Sociology. I enjoy these subjects in particular because I believe that people can be complex in their own wonderful ways. It is interesting to view people in terms of their art or what they did.

I believe that every student has a desire to learn things, especially things that they are interested in. I also believe that it is an important part of tutoring to foster that sense of learning outside of a classroom. As a result, my philosophy in teaching is to encourage this principal through encouraging independent thought with students. This has worked really well in the past by simply asking direct questions during the previous year that I have been tutoring.

Outside of tutoring, my interests primarily reading. I am a huge fan of authors such as Jack Kerouac and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
